Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 6, 2026
Maraudr is an invite-only beta intended for users in the United States.
This policy describes what we collect and how we handle it in plain terms.
It is not legal advice.
Maraudr ("we", "us") is operated by Auberon LLC in Washington, United
States, and provides a competitive-intelligence service that monitors
public sources for activity about companies you ask us to track, scores
that activity with AI, and surfaces it to you. Auberon LLC is the data
controller for the Service. This policy explains what personal data we
collect, why, and who processes it.
Information we collect
- Account information. Your email address, and — if you
sign in with Google — your name and profile image as provided by Google.
We do not receive your Google password.
- Onboarding details you give us. The product, competitors,
category, and preferences you submit so we can set up your account.
- Usage and technical data. Basic request metadata
(e.g. a hashed IP address, browser user-agent) for security and abuse
prevention, and your in-app actions such as feedback ratings.
- Monitoring data. The competitor signals we collect are
drawn from public sources across the web — for example,
public posts and pages on social platforms, developer communities, review
sites, and forums, plus RSS feeds and other public web pages. This is
information about the companies you track. It may include personal data of
the people who posted that public content (such as a username and what
they wrote), which we process only to surface and classify competitor
signals.
How we use it
- To create and operate your account and authenticate your sign-in.
- To build and run your monitoring — collecting, classifying, and
delivering competitor signals.
- To send you the emails you've opted into (sign-in links, alerts, the
weekly digest) and important service notices.
- To secure the service and prevent abuse.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for
advertising.
Cookies
In the Maraudr app (app.maraudr.com) we use essential cookies
only — to keep you signed in and to secure the service. We don't
use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies there.
On our public marketing site (maraudr.com) we use privacy-friendly,
cookieless product analytics (Vercel Web Analytics) to understand visits in
aggregate, plus a single cookie that remembers which version of the page you
were shown. No advertising or cross-site tracking.
Service providers
We share data only with the categories of service providers that run the
service for us, and only as needed to operate it:
- Cloud hosting and database — to run the application and
store account and signal data.
- AI processing — to classify and summarize signals.
- Email delivery — to send sign-in links, alerts, and the
weekly digest.
- Web data retrieval and search — to fetch and find
public content from the sources you track.
- Product analytics — privacy-friendly, aggregate usage
measurement on our marketing site (see Cookies above).
- Google — only if you choose Google sign-in, to
authenticate you. We use your Google account data solely to sign you in
and create your account.
We do not sell your personal data or share it for advertising. Data is
processed and stored in the United States, and the service is intended for
users in the United States.
Want the specific vendors behind these categories? Email
privacy@maraudr.com and we'll share
our current list.
Data retention
We keep your account data while your account is active. You can ask us to
delete your account and associated data at any time (see Contact below) and
we will remove it, except where we must retain limited records for legal or
security reasons.
Your choices
- You can unsubscribe from the weekly digest from any digest email or in
your settings.
- You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal
data by emailing privacy@maraudr.com.
Security
We use reputable infrastructure providers and standard safeguards to protect
your data. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we
work to protect your information.
Children
The Service is not directed to anyone under 18, and we don't knowingly
collect personal data from children. If we learn that we have, we'll delete
it.
Changes
We may update this policy as the product evolves. We'll revise the "last
updated" date above and, for material changes, notify you by email.
